Sartorial Storytime With H&M

25 Apr

For the delay I can only apologise – I’ve been getting back into uni life after my internship and treating the gym extra nicely after my hiatus  to dissolve some of the free alcohol and meals that have lingered on my person.

I’ll be posting regularly again by next week!

Today though (instead of going to my 9am lecture…) I simply have to tell you about H&M’s new online collection that is frankly exquisite, and yet features prices similar to the Scandinavian store we all know and love. Not to mention it’s quaint, collage-esque website which reads like a designer’s inspiration board and is heaven on the eyes.

There is a heavy focus on accessories, notably shoes and bags, but there is also a Ready To Wear tab that features delightful basics and several pieces whose quality and quirk were previously nigh-impossible to acquire on the high street. What all the pieces have in common, even down to the SIXTY ONE hair pieces and FIFTY THREE belts (I am mesmerised by the latter), is the universal sense of quality that often comes only from the higher echelons of designer workshops.
