I just saw’s pictures for Alice+Olivia’s Fall/Winter Ready To Wear collection in NYC and had to share them immediately.

The baroque/rock vibes that exude from the superfluously decadent clothes are just so, so beautiful and wearable.

Stacey Bendet’s vision for the A+O woman of the coming winter couldn’t be more different from the bubbly, colourful one she painted for spring. Whisperingly Gothic from the pale complexion’s and deep red lipstick on the models to the darkly ironic florals and excess of leather, the clothes are simultaneously modern and antiquated; fun and serious; fiersome and playful. A midi-length skirt of pure leather for instance, is softened by a crown of flowers.

Alternating between hyperbolic Gothicism and daytime ease with just hints of the same macabre, the collection puts me in mind of a beautiful girl about town, transformed Dracula-like into a vampiric Goddess at wish.
